Aviation authorities and netizens are puzzled by the Washington, D.C., plane disaster after a viral video showed an American Airlines jet colliding with a helicopter near Reagan Airport on January 29, 2025.
The footage, shared by the Daily Mail, captures the helicopter flying toward the jet before impact, resulting in an explosion and both aircraft crashing into the Potomac River. Flight 5342, en route from Wichita, Kansas, had 60 passengers and four crew members on board.
