Reason Eminem has filed a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta for over $100,000,000
Eminem has filed a $109 million lawsuit against Meta, accusing the tech giant of copyright infringement. The rapper’s company, Eight Mile Style, claims Meta’s platforms—Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp—illegally used 243 of his songs in features like Reels and Original Audio without proper licensing. The lawsuit alleges Meta encouraged users to exploit his music while avoiding DMCA protections.
This isn’t Eminem’s first legal battle—his own mother once sued him over lyrics in his 1999 hit “My Name Is.” The rapper seeks maximum statutory damages of $150,000 per song, along with lost profits and a permanent injunction against unauthorized use. Meta has yet to respond to the allegations.
