Jaw-dropping amount Trump’s vacations cost US taxpayers after he slams non-working holidays in fiery rant

Donald Trump’s frequent vacations, particularly to his Mar-a-Lago estate, have cost U.S. taxpayers millions. By late March, his trips had already totaled $26 million, with expenses including Air Force One flights, security, and local law enforcement overtime. Each trip to Palm Beach costs around $1 million just in travel, with additional costs for helicopters and manpower. Critics, like Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, argue these lavish getaways drain public funds without delivering any tangible benefits.

Despite condemning non-working holidays as wasteful, Trump’s own leisure spending has drawn sharp criticism. During his first term, Mar-a-Lago visits averaged $13.6 million per weekend, excluding local security costs. Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw warned expenses could rise further if Trump hosts more global leaders there. The irony isn’t lost on critics, who see his spending as hypocritical given his complaints about business closures costing the economy.
