Donald Trump breaks silence on Elon Musk’s new ‘America Party’ with brutal statement
The feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk has reached new heights as the billionaire announces plans to launch his own political party. What began as a close alliance when Musk headed the Department of Government Efficiency has now deteriorated into public mudslinging.
Musk recently claimed Trump was named in unreleased Epstein documents – accusations he later retracted with an apology. The tension reignited when Musk vehemently opposed Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” threatening to fund opposition campaigns against supporting politicians.
The Tesla CEO announced formation of the “America Party,” positioning it as an alternative to both Democrats and Republicans. Trump dismissed the idea during a golf club interview, calling third parties “ridiculous” and claiming they “have never worked” in U.S. politics.
On Truth Social, Trump escalated his attacks, labeling Musk a “TRAIN WRECK” who’s gone “completely off the rails.” He suggested Musk’s motivation stems from electric vehicle subsidy cuts that could impact Tesla’s profits.
The president also accused Musk of inappropriate influence-peddling regarding NASA leadership appointments. Trump claimed Musk pushed for a business associate to lead the space agency, creating potential conflicts of interest.
Musk fired back on X, asserting America operates as “a one-party system” when it comes to fiscal irresponsibility. He positioned his new party as a vehicle to restore freedoms and combat government waste.
While Musk’s political ambitions remain uncertain, Trump appears unfazed by the challenge. The public spat highlights how quickly their alliance collapsed, with both figures now openly trading blows in the political arena.
