On Truth Social, Trump escalated his attacks, labeling Musk a “TRAIN WRECK” who’s gone “completely off the rails.” He suggested Musk’s motivation stems from electric vehicle subsidy cuts that could impact Tesla’s profits.
The president also accused Musk of inappropriate influence-peddling regarding NASA leadership appointments. Trump claimed Musk pushed for a business associate to lead the space agency, creating potential conflicts of interest.
Musk fired back on X, asserting America operates as “a one-party system” when it comes to fiscal irresponsibility. He positioned his new party as a vehicle to restore freedoms and combat government waste.
While Musk’s political ambitions remain uncertain, Trump appears unfazed by the challenge. The public spat highlights how quickly their alliance collapsed, with both figures now openly trading blows in the political arena.
