New poll reveals how many Americans actually believe Donald Trump’s policies have helped them and the results are shocking

President Trump has reportedly signed nearly 200 executive orders this year, with one of the most recent being an extension of reciprocal tariff rates for most countries, excluding China. These policies are framed as efforts to benefit American citizens and boost the economy, but a new poll suggests many Americans disagree.

According to a July 17 poll by the Associated Press and NORC Center, 49% of Americans believe Trump’s policies have caused more harm than good, while only 25% feel they’ve been helped. Another poll earlier this month found 52% disapprove of the president’s performance.

Even some Republicans are dissatisfied with Trump’s leadership, signaling a rift between the president and his base. One contentious issue is the handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s case, with many accusing the administration of withholding information.

The FBI has denied the existence of Epstein’s alleged “client list,” stating no evidence was found of blackmail or incriminating records. Despite this, 67% of Americans suspect the government is hiding evidence related to Epstein, per a poll by The Economist and YouGov.

Elon Musk has also weighed in, calling the situation a “cover-up” on Twitter. He pointed out that not a single Epstein client has faced prosecution, fueling further public skepticism.

The ongoing controversy over Epstein’s case and the dissatisfaction with Trump’s policies highlight growing tensions ahead of the next election. With declining approval ratings, the president faces an uphill battle to regain trust.

As debates over transparency and policy effectiveness continue, Trump’s ability to maintain support from his base and the broader public remains uncertain. The coming months will be critical for his administration’s trajectory.
