House Party Leaves…
A tragic shooting occurred early Sunday morning, June 1, during a house party in Mountain View, a quiet neighborhood near Hickory, North Carolina. One person was killed, and eleven others were injured.
According to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene on Walnut Acres Drive around 12:45 a.m. The incident took place during a large pool party attended by approximately 100 people, including minors. Multiple gunshots were fired outside the home, impacting both the front and back yards, and even spilling over into a neighboring property, creating a widespread and active crime scene.
One individual died on the scene, another remains in critical condition, and several others continue to receive medical treatment. Authorities have confirmed that multiple firearms were used in the shooting. However, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made at this time.
