Inside J.D. Vance’s family life: Meet the Future VP’s Adorable Trio — Ewan, Vivek & Baby Mirabel
While J.D. Vance is now a national figure as Donald Trump’s vice president, his most important role at home is being a father to his three young children.
Vance and his wife, Usha, are parents to Ewan, 7, Vivek, 4, and Mirabel, 2. The family has largely remained out of the public eye, despite Vance’s rising political profile.
In a rare public moment, Vance showcased his softer side on the Senate floor in February 2024. He paused a debate on Ukraine to wish his middle son, Vivek, a happy birthday.
Speaking into the official microphone, he emotionally told his son, “I want you to know that Daddy loves you very much.” He then spent six minutes reading the children’s book *Oh, The Places You’ll Go!* into the Congressional record.
The couple’s youngest child, daughter Mirabel Rose, was born just before Christmas in 2021. Vance announced her arrival on social media, calling her an “early Christmas present” and expressing the family’s gratitude.
Their firstborn, Ewan, made a quiet debut back in 2017. A congratulatory post from TV host Megyn Kelly, which called the newborn “beautiful,” was one of the few early glimpses into their private life.
As the Vance family prepares to move to Washington, D.C., a new question emerges. The nation will watch to see if these three children remain private or become the country’s newest young celebrities.
