Homemade Hack to Make Your Gas Stove Burn Stronger
A weak or flickering flame on your gas stove is often caused by clogged nozzles. Grease and food debris can block the tiny gas openings, reducing efficiency.
You can often fix this yourself without a technician. The process requires only a few common household items: an aluminum-safe cleaner, a wooden stick, and soft tissue.
Begin by turning off the gas supply and removing the stove grates and nozzle caps. This will give you clear access to the burner nozzles.
Apply a small amount of the aluminum-safe cleaner to the nozzle heads. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes to dissolve the accumulated grease and grime.
After the cleaner has soaked, gently insert the wooden stick into each nozzle opening. Carefully move it back and forth to dislodge the debris without causing any damage.
Thoroughly wipe away all the loosened residue with tissue. It is crucial to let all the parts dry completely before reassembling them.
Once dry, reassemble the stove and reconnect the gas. You should now see a stronger, steadier flame. Performing this simple cleaning every few months will maintain your stove’s performance and safety.
