Dem Sen. Warren Makes Big Announcement About Her Political Future

Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has officially announced she will run for re-election. The Democrat, who has held her Senate seat since 2012, made the declaration in a video posted to her Twitter account.

The video featured Massachusetts voters praising Warren, with one stating she “doesn’t f— around” and is “always in our corner.” Warren stated that while she has won victories for working families, there is more work to be done.

Her announcement follows recent speculation about her political intentions. Last month, she made comments that led some to believe she might be considering a 2024 presidential run.

Warren had previously declined to explicitly endorse a Biden-Harris ticket for 2024. When asked if Kamala Harris should be Biden’s running mate, she deferred to the president’s comfort with his team.

These remarks reportedly caused a rift, with Vice President Harris refusing to return Warren’s phone calls. Warren has since called twice to apologize for her comments, according to reports.

The senator later clarified her position, stating she “fully support[s] the President’s and Vice President’s re-election together.” She called them a “terrific team.”

This incident occurs amid broader concerns within the Democratic party about Vice President Harris. Some party members and donors have privately, and sometimes publicly, expressed that they see her as a political liability.
