Trump reveals plans for next White House renovation project to remove ‘Biden filth’ following $300,000,000 ballroom
Following criticism of a $300 million ballroom renovation, Donald Trump has announced further plans to renovate the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. He shared his intentions on Truth Social, directly criticizing his predecessor.
Trump stated that he and Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum intend to “fix” the pool. He told his followers to “study it hard” because they would not be seeing “Biden filth and incompetence” for much longer.
A promotional video shared with the post concluded with the slogan “make D.C. beautiful again.” The specific costs and timeline for this new project have not been disclosed.
The announcement comes after his previous plan to replace the historic East Wing with a new ballroom drew significant scrutiny. Officials defended that project by stating the current East Wing is inadequate for large events.
The new ballroom is designed to be 90,000 square feet and host up to 650 people. The White House argued this was necessary to avoid using a “large and unsightly tent” for major gatherings.
A rendering of the planned ballroom shows a massive, opulent space with gold details and elaborate chandeliers. The design aims to mirror the White House’s architectural heritage while being a separate structure.
While the pool cleanup has not yet attracted backlash, Trump and his administration have previously defended the ballroom’s high cost and controversial replacement of a historic wing.
