Bombshell poll reveals what US voters really think of Trump 11 months into presidency
Approaching his one-year anniversary of his second inauguration, President Donald Trump’s performance is being widely assessed by the American public. His administration has enacted significant policy shifts on immigration, trade, and foreign affairs over the past eleven months.
These changes, including major new tariffs and the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history, have occurred alongside consistently low approval ratings. In October, a poll showed a 63 percent disapproval rating, nearing his historic low.
Recent data indicates ongoing voter dissatisfaction, particularly regarding the cost-of-living crisis and the pace of releasing Jeffrey Epstein-related documents. A late November poll reflected a 42 percent approval rating against 55 percent disapproval.
Economic management is a critical area of concern for voters. Only 26 percent in a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll approved of his handling of the cost of living, and his approval on the economy among Republicans has declined.
While he retains relative strength on issues like crime and foreign affairs, his approval has slipped among key demographics, including white, college-educated men. His net approval rating has remained at -15 or lower for seven consecutive weeks.
This rating is historically low for Trump and is less favorable than Joe Biden’s was at a similar point in his presidency. Broader polls also suggest a challenging environment for Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections.
Overall, as he nears the end of his first year back in office, President Trump faces sustained public disapproval and significant political headwinds heading into the next election cycle.
