Donald Trump breaks silence on new Epstein photo release with simple 5-word statement
President Donald Trump has responded to the release of unseen photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. The images, published by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, feature various prominent figures, including Trump himself.
When questioned in the Oval Office, Trump dismissed the significance of the photos. He stated, “He has photos with everybody… that’s no big deal, I know nothing about it.”
The President has consistently denied any involvement with Epstein’s criminal activities over many months. He has frequently avoided detailed responses when pressed by reporters on the subject.
Notably, during his 2024 election campaign, Trump vowed to release the full Epstein files. This promise aligned with a subsequent Congressional vote to disclose the documents.
The Justice Department’s position on releasing information has shifted. After initial ambiguity and a reversal stating no details would be public, Congress acted to mandate disclosure.
Lawmakers nearly unanimously voted last month to release the files. President Trump then signed the corresponding bill into law.
The documents are scheduled for release next week, though in a redacted form. While photographed with Epstein, Trump has not been accused of any crime related to the financier’s actions.
