Disturbing details surface after Kiefer Sutherland is taken into custody for a violent crime in Hollywood

Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested in Los Angeles following a conflict during a late-night Uber ride. The 59-year-old was taken into custody after an altercation with his ride-share driver.

The incident occurred after Sutherland had dinner with a friend and requested an Uber Black late on Sunday night. Authorities report that the actor repeatedly asked the driver to pull over during the trip.

When the driver refused to stop, Sutherland allegedly threatened the driver’s life. The driver called emergency services just after midnight, reporting physical aggression in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue.

Responding police confirmed that Sutherland had assaulted the driver and issued criminal threats. The driver did not require medical treatment for injuries.

Reports indicate a potential language barrier, as the driver may have spoken Russian or Armenian. Police provided a translator. Sutherland cooperated with officers during the arrest.

He was booked on a felony charge for making a criminal threat. After being held in custody, he was released on $50,000 bail approximately seven hours later. A court date is scheduled for February 2.

This is not Sutherland’s first legal issue. He previously served jail time in 2007 for a DUI and was arrested in 2009 for an assault. The recent event has sparked mixed public reaction online, with some referencing his famous television role. The case remains under review by police.
