Prince William and Kate Middleton release never-before-seen photo to mark 13th wedding anniversary
Prince William and Kate Middleton celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary by sharing a never-before-seen photo from their wedding. The black-and-white image, credited to Millie Pilkington, shows Kate holding her bouquet with William standing behind her, his hands on her waist. The couple’s social media post captioned the image, “13 years ago today!”
William and Kate, who met at the University of St. Andrews in 2001, have three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6. The new photo delighted royal fans, especially given the recent news about Kate’s health.
Earlier this year, Kate revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer following a “planned abdominal procedure” in January. She did not specify the type or stage of cancer but confirmed she would undergo preventative chemotherapy.
Since the announcement, updates on her health have been scarce. However, a source told PEOPLE, “He is a very reliable, strong person. She doesn’t feel isolated in this because of William, who is right beside her.” The couple spends much of their time at Anmer Hall, their country home, where Kate feels most at ease.
