Three teens at Lincoln Middle School in Wisconsin exemplified this courage when they defended cheerleader Desiree Andrews, who has Down syndrome, from bullies.
Recognizing the injustice, they intervened during a timeout, displaying solidarity with Desiree. Their actions had a profound impact, earning gratitude from Desiree’s father and affirming faith in humanity.
