Susan Sarandon’s Daughter, 39, Weds in ‘French Garden’ Ceremony, Wearing Corset Gown That Sparks Heated Reaction: Photos
Eva Amurri, daughter of Susan Sarandon and Franco Amurri, married Ian Hock in a garden-themed ceremony in Hudson Valley on June 29. Eva, 39, wore a glamorous corset wedding gown despite online criticism, with some calling it “inappropriate” and “tasteless.” She shared her excitement on Instagram, describing it as “Officially #TheBestDayEva.”
The intimate ceremony had 40 guests, including her children, Marlowe Mae, Major James, and Mateo Antoni Martino. Major walked Eva down the aisle, which she described as “an experience I’ll never forget.” The couple incorporated a “ring blessing” where guests passed their wedding rings around to “put good energy into them.”
Eva and Ian focused on creating a personal and family-centered day. “We really wanted to center our little family unit in all of it.” The French garden party-inspired event featured a curated menu by Grounded Catering, with Hudson Valley duck, cedar plank salmon, and local cheeses.
Eva changed into a second Kim Kassas dress for the reception, paired with custom Nike Air Force Ones. They shared their first dance to Taylor Swift’s “Lover” and a family dance to “Joy” by Andy Grammer. Eva praised Ian as “the most loving and considerate partner,” adding that their relationship “felt like a fairytale from the start.”
