The news of beloved actor Steve Martin comes as a surprise.

Steve Martin, the Emmy and Grammy-winning performer, hints at scaling back after “Only Murders in the Building,” the Hulu crime parody he co-created. Martin states, “I will not look for others once this television program is over. I’m not going to look for other movies.” He expresses a desire to work less and spend more time with his family, emphasizing, “I have a wonderful family life.” Martin, known for his diverse talents, intends to prioritize family over relocating for film projects.

A prominent figure in entertainment, Martin is a versatile artist, appearing on “Saturday Night Live” 15 times, boasting five Grammy Awards, and excelling as a banjo player. Despite his impressive career, he emphasizes the importance of family, stating, “I’m no longer willing to relocate to live or shoot a movie.”

As Morgan Neville, the Oscar-winning filmmaker, plans a documentary on Martin’s 60-year career, Martin reflects on the phase in his career where people long to see him. With three Emmy nominations for “Only Murders in the Building,” including Best Lead Actor, Martin appreciates the support but maintains a modest tone, acknowledging the need to show up in his personal life “now more than ever.”
