A Hurtful Discovery One day, Luke left his phone unattended. My curiosity got the best of me, and I read his messages. He had written to his friends, “Imagine, people, despite her weight, she still wants me to photograph her! Where would she fit into the photograph?” I felt devastated and betrayed.

A Final Decision Later, Luke apologized but suggested I use my inheritance to lose weight. Furious, I told him I wanted a divorce. Luke cried, realizing his plans were ruined without my money. Moving On I returned home, started the divorce process, and focused on myself and my kids. I began working out, taking up new hobbies, and rebuilding my life. When I ran into Luke at the mall, he barely recognized me. I realized I no longer needed his validation. I was ready to live my life on my terms.
