When Elvis Presley ‘Duetted’ With His Daughter Lisa Marie On The Song ‘Where No One Stands Alone,’ Creating An Extraordinary Musical Experience For Fans
Forty years after Elvis Presley’s death, his daughter Lisa Marie recorded a touching duet with him. The music video features their performance of “Where No One Stands Alone,” from a 2018 Elvis compilation. This album includes newly recorded instruments and backing vocals set to Elvis’s vintage gospel recordings.
Lisa Marie shared her feelings about the duet with ITV’s Lorraine: “I just felt really emotional.” She added, “I mustered up the courage to remain calm, yet I sensed an intense bond with both him and the melody.”
Lisa Marie faced personal tragedy following the duet’s release, including the 2020 death of her son, Benjamin Keough. She passed away in 2023 at the age of 54.
Elvis’s ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, expressed her sorrow: “Every day I wake up praying it will get better. Then I consider my daughter, who was a nurturing mother, and the suffering she must be experiencing.” The King’s grandson, Benjamin, was laid to rest at Graceland, marking the first funeral there since the mansion opened to the public.
