The beloved star has died, leaving the world in shock

Beloved rugby star Rob Burrow, who played for the Leeds Rhinos and England, passed away at 41 after battling motor neurone disease (MND). Fans and loved ones gathered to pay their final respects at a funeral reception in Leeds.

Rob, who died on June 2, was honored at Leeds Civic Hall, attended by his family and notable figures like former teammate Jamie Jones-Buchanan. Hundreds lined the streets, and his cortege included his wife Lindsey and their three children.

In his final message, Rob urged people not to “waste a moment” of their lives. Diagnosed with MND in 2019, he became a vocal advocate for the cause. His wife Lindsey called him a person who “made the world a better place.” Rob’s friend, Ian Flatt, is climbing seven mountains in a wheelchair in his honor.
