Michael Bolton revealed that he underwent brain tumor surgery after an unexpected health scare in late 2023. The singer shared the news on social media, saying, “I faced some really unexpected challenges in 2023” and that the tumor “required immediate surgery.”
The operation was successful, thanks to his medical team, and Bolton is now recovering at home. He expressed gratitude for his family’s “unwavering love and support” during this time.
Unfortunately, Bolton will have to take a break from his upcoming tour to focus on his recovery. He told fans, “I’ll have to take a temporary break from touring” and acknowledged how difficult it was to cancel shows but assured them that he’s working hard to “return to performing as soon as possible.”
Fans have shared their support for Bolton, who has sold over 75 million records, including hits like When a Man Loves a Woman and How Am I Supposed to Live Without You. The 70-year-old was set to begin a new tour in February 2024.
