A contractor, Jackson, was tricked out of $400 by his boss, Steve, after being asked to buy food for the staff. Steve told Jackson, “You should have gotten it in writing,” when he tried to get reimbursed. Jackson had been running food errands on Steve’s instructions, thinking everything was covered.
