Carrie Underwood Details The Sweet Way Her Sons Support Her On “American Idol”
Carrie Underwood is making her return to American Idol, this time as a judge for season 23. Despite her fame, her sons Isaiah, 9, and Jacob, 5, don’t fully understand her superstar status, which Carrie finds endearing.
In an interview with E! News, Carrie shared that her son Isaiah prays for her before she goes to work: “God please give her all the right words and help her sing great.” However, her husband Mike Fischer quickly corrected him, saying, “She’s not singing.” Carrie mentioned that her boys see her more as their mom than a famous singer, saying, “They don’t really know what I do… I’m Mom to them.”
Carrie embraces both her career and motherhood, saying that being a mom has changed her for the better. She loves her role on stage but feels people expect her to be a larger-than-life persona. “The rest of my life, I feel like I’m incredibly disappointing to people,” she admitted.
