Logan’s Roadhouse has closed 261 locations and laid off all employees in a move to cut costs amid financial struggles. Facing bankruptcy before the pandemic, the company, owned by CraftWorks Holdings, opted not to adapt to take-out and delivery options. Around 18,000 workers were left without jobs or healthcare during the crisis, sparking criticism. Former CEO Hazem Ouf was fired over alleged misappropriation of $7 million in sales taxes, with new CEO Marc Buehler swiftly cutting payroll and benefits. CraftWorks has provided some support through its HOPE Program, but many are questioning corporate priorities in difficult times.
