If You’re Still
Marijuana is increasingly accepted for both medical and recreational use, but a new study suggests adults over 30 might want to reconsider heavy use. Research from The University of Queensland tracked over 8,000 mothers and 2,000 children, showing that consistent cannabis use past age 30 was associated with lower success in income, education, and life satisfaction.
While younger users showed minimal setbacks, adults over 30 experienced noticeable declines. However, this study was conducted on Australian women and didn’t account for all drugs, so the results might not apply universally. Overall, moderate use may not be harmful, but for those struggling to balance responsibilities, cutting back could be beneficial.
