While celebrating her 69th birthday with Charlotte Russe desserts, a favorite of her late mother, Goldberg shared her frustration, saying the bakery initially claimed their ovens were down but later implied their refusal was politically motivated.
Though Goldberg did not name the bakery, she emphasized that the issue stemmed from her politics rather than her gender. Despite the snub, Goldberg’s team managed to secure the desserts, which she dedicated to her mother’s memory.
