Furious Subaru driver crashes car into deaIership after being denied a refund: ‘l told you!’

customer in Utah was arrested after allegedly driving his car into a dealership’s storefront when he was refused a refund. Michael Lee Murray, 35, purchased a used Subaru Outback from Tim Dahle Mazda Southtowne for $4,000 on December 9. However, after discovering that the car had significant mechanical problems, he believed he had bought a “lemon.”

Murray returned to the dealership to ask for a refund, but the management told him the car was sold “as is” and could not be returned. The platform manager, Tyler Slade, had previously informed Murray that the car needed some work. “We were very clear that this car is not retail,” Slade said. “It’s gonna need more inspecting and some work.”
Frustrated and angry, Murray allegedly threatened to drive the car through the dealership’s front door if they didn’t accept the return. Slade responded by trying to calm him down, saying, “Sit down, we can figure this out, we can find a solution.”

But around 4 PM, Murray did exactly what he threatened to do. A shocking video shows him driving the Subaru into the building’s glass doors, causing a desk to fall over. As he exited through the broken doors, he yelled, “I told you motherf***ers! I told you!”

According to the police report, Murray’s car was fully inside the dealership, with glass shattered everywhere. Another vehicle in the showroom was also damaged when pieces of the door frame hit it. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, though the dealership suffered $10,000 in damages.

Murray was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and economic interruption. After his release, he spoke to Inside Edition, explaining that his anger over the refund refusal had caused him to lose control. “I just kind of blacked out for a second,” he said.
