CIA Boss Reveals Next Country He Expects Vladimir Putin To Attack
A former CIA chief, David Petraeus, has warned that if Russia succeeds in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin might target another country next. Petraeus, speaking at the Policy Exchange think-tank in London, suggested that Putin’s ambition is to control Ukraine by installing a puppet government. Once that’s achieved, Petraeus believes Russia will likely turn its attention to a Baltic state, especially Lithuania, which Putin has mentioned often. Petraeus said the West should have taken Putin’s rhetoric more seriously.
Petraeus criticized the United States for being too slow in supplying Ukraine with the needed military support, such as M1 Abrams tanks and F-16 fighter jets. According to Petraeus, the delays forced Ukraine to repeatedly ask and wait, weakening their efforts on the battlefield. He argued that Washington should have done more from the outset to change the battlefield dynamic, showing Russia that any further territorial gains would be costly and not worth the effort. Petraeus’s remarks highlight the urgency of stronger support for Ukraine to halt Russia’s aggression.
