PARENTS KEPT THEIR BABY HIDDEN TO SHIELD HER FROM PEOPLE’S CURIOUS LOOKS. NOW, AT THE AGE OF 2, SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.
Little Vienna Brookshaw was born in April 2021 in the UK with a rare birthmark, congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), on her forehead. Though harmless, her mother, Celine Casey, worried it might affect Vienna emotionally as she grew up.
When the NHS refused to cover the surgery, calling it cosmetic, Casey started a fundraiser. In 24 hours, they raised $52,000 but needed $27,000 more due to rising hospital costs. Thanks to generous donors, Vienna underwent three surgeries, and her birthmark was successfully removed.
Now a healthy two-year-old, she only has a small scar. Wishing Vienna a bright future!
