Woman, 53, Became Gestational Carrier for Her Daughter Who Got Pregnant at the Same Time after Years of Infertility
Kelsi Pierce and her mother had a remarkable experience when they gave birth just months apart, resulting in sisters. Kelsi and her husband Kyle struggled with infertility, with Kelsi’s thin uterine lining posing a challenge. Facing financial hurdles, Lisa Rutherford, Kelsi’s mother, offered to be a gestational carrier despite her age. In December 2019, Lisa successfully became pregnant with Kelsi’s baby. Shockingly, in March the following year, Kelsi discovered she was pregnant too.
Lisa gave birth to Everly in October 2020, followed by Kelsi welcoming Ava just weeks later. Despite Everly’s initial health complications, both sisters thrived. Kelsi embraced motherhood, cherishing the dream she once thought impossible. With the girls growing fast, the family enjoys precious moments together, celebrating their unique journey to parenthood.
