Where Donald Trump will go if nuclear war broke out amid WW3 fears
As tensions escalate globally, concerns about nuclear conflict have resurfaced, particularly following recent US airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran’s foreign minister warned of “everlasting consequences,” while Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned Trump’s actions as pushing the world toward a “dangerous line.”
With nine nuclear-armed nations—including the US, Russia, and China—the risk of catastrophic war looms. In such a scenario, President Trump would have several fortified locations to seek refuge.
The most prominent is the White House’s underground bunker, constructed during the Cold War in the 1950s. This secure facility is designed to withstand attacks and protect key government figures.
Another option is the massive complex inside Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. This underground “city” includes medical facilities, emergency services, and dining halls, ensuring long-term survival for those inside.
Trump also has personal bunkers at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and beneath his West Palm Beach golf club. The latter, reportedly located under the second hole, was originally built to store bombs.
However, nuclear war expert Kenneth Rose remains skeptical about bunkers’ effectiveness, stating there’s “no defense against the tremendous blast and heat.”
Historical data from the Nagasaki bombing suggests shelters could save lives—30% of immediate fatalities might have been prevented. Yet, in a full-scale nuclear exchange, survival remains uncertain even in the most fortified hideouts.
