Donald Trump Considering Deporting Elon Musk
Donald Trump has hinted at possibly deporting Elon Musk as their feud escalates, marking a dramatic turn in their ongoing conflict.
The tension began when Musk criticized Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” on X (formerly Twitter). Though their dispute briefly cooled, Musk recently reignited it by accusing Trump of “destroying” the U.S., costing jobs, and threatening America’s future.
Musk, 54, even threatened to form his own political party if Trump’s policies advance. In response, Trump suggested he might explore deporting the Tesla CEO.
When asked about former White House adviser Steve Bannon’s call for Musk’s deportation, Trump said, “I don’t know. We’ll have to take a look,” while leaving for an immigration facility visit.
Born in South Africa, Musk became a U.S. citizen in 2002. Legal experts note that denaturalization is possible if citizenship was obtained fraudulently or if someone threatens foreign policy interests.
However, deporting the world’s richest man would be unprecedented. Even if Musk avoids expulsion, he could face financial repercussions and a powerful political adversary in Trump.
The clash highlights the growing rift between two of America’s most influential figures, with Musk’s immigration status now unexpectedly under scrutiny.
