Cameron Diaz ‘doesn’t care’ about appearance after leaving Hollywood
Cameron Diaz, who stepped away from Hollywood, recently shared her liberated approach to beauty standards and skincare on Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers podcast. The actress, now 51, revealed that leaving acting allowed her to break free from the societal expectations and objectification prevalent in Hollywood. Diaz acknowledged being a “victim of societal objectifications and exploitations,” recognizing her own role in these standards. Her beauty products, untouched for years, reflect her departure from Hollywood’s rigid beauty routines.
Diaz emphasized her carefree attitude towards beauty, stating, “The last eight years, girl — I’m like wild. I’m like a wild animal. I’m a beast.” She takes a natural approach to skincare, admitting she rarely dwells on her appearance: “Literally the last thing I think about on a daily basis is what I look like. I never wash my face.” Occasionally using lotions, Diaz shared, “I’m just not in that place right now where I put any energy.”
Freed from appearance pressures, Diaz directs her focus on meaningful aspects of life, especially raising her daughter, Raddix, born in January 2020. Her journey reflects a departure from Hollywood’s beauty norms and an embrace of a more carefree lifestyle.
