Kid brothers start their own business mowing dozens of lawns in their community
Young Brothers Succeed with Lawn Care Business
Three brothers from Saginaw, Michigan, aged 12, 10, and 9, took the initiative to start a lawn care business during their summer break. Led by the eldest, Marcus, they launched 3 Amigos Lawncare Service with support from their mom, Terri Reed.
“I wanted to start my own business doing lawn care work,” Marcus said. Terri recalled, “So, the following day, I got up and I purchased all their equipment and their work clothes.”
With determination, they garnered a substantial clientele. “I’m very proud of them,” Terri expressed. “They’re some hardworking young boys.”
Expanding their services beyond summer, the trio plans to handle leaf and snow removal. Despite lacking prior experience, Marcus’s vision and work ethic drove the venture’s success.
Terri shared, “It’s going great. I didn’t expect them to be as busy as they are. It’s been crazy.”
Their hard work paid off, enabling them to invest in a property. Terri mentioned, “They have their weekly paydays, and everything else goes into their business accounts.”
