“When we first saw each other, I thought it was love at first sight; I thought then, ‘That is the woman I am going to spend the rest of my life with,’” recalled The Bee Gees member Barry Gibbs on his first meeting with Linda Gray who was Miss Edinburgh.

Barry Gibb, the last surviving member of The Bee Gees, and his wife, Linda Gray, have upheld a remarkable 52-year marriage. Amidst the band’s massive success, including hits like “How Deep is Your Love” and “Staying Alive,” Barry faced personal tragedy with the loss of his brothers, Robbin and Maurice, to cancer, and Andy to drug abuse.

The couple’s love story began in 1967 when they met on the set of a television show. Barry describes it as love at first sight, and they married in 1970, just after Barry’s divorce from his first wife, Maureen. Despite attention from other famous figures like Evonne Goolagong and Steve McQueen, Barry and Linda remained devoted to each other, raising five children and now enjoying their role as grandparents.
