FedEx Driver Shot And Robbed While Delivering Package
In a revisited story from December 2019, police disclosed that a FedEx driver involved in a shooting incident was in possession of a legally registered firearm.
The event unfolded as the 32-year-old driver was delivering a package on the 600 block of Unruh Avenue. A robber, armed, approached him, stole his wallet and keys, and then shot him. In response, the driver fired back, severely injuring the robber, identified as 27-year-old Jevan Lundy.
Lundy was later discovered by authorities on the 1400 block of Creston Street, unresponsive. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the Einstein Medical Center shortly after. The victim’s FedEx ID card was recovered at the scene.
Another individual was found with Lundy, and the vehicle they were in was searched. Police suspect the car was utilized to transport Lundy after the shooting. The man was brought in for questioning, although it remained uncertain if he would face charges. Capt. Jason Smith stated, “He is speaking to us, of course not portraying that he had any involvement with this robbery.”
