Ocasio-Cortez Attacks Trump At Mamdani Rally

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked former President Donald Trump while campaigning for New York City mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. She suggested a victory for Mamdani would send a powerful national message.

Ocasio-Cortez declared that the election was about issues like childcare and rent. She stated that New York City sets the standard for the nation and directly challenged Trump in her speech.

She asserted that the election would send a “loud message” to Trump that his “authoritarianism is no good here.” Ocasio-Cortez described a coalition of working-class people as “Trump’s worst nightmare.”

Trump has also engaged in the race, criticizing Mamdani on his Truth Social platform. He warned that Mamdani, whom he labeled a “communist,” would have problems with Washington if elected.

The former president claimed a Mamdani mayoralty would be beneficial for the Republican Party. He also insisted Mamdani would not receive federal funding to fulfill his campaign promises.

A report details that Mamdani’s rise is supported by a network of Muslim and socialist organizations. These groups have been aided by millions in donations from philanthropies linked to George Soros.

This coalition of groups has actively supported Mamdani’s campaign through endorsements and voter mobilization. Their coordinated efforts include social media outreach and canvassing operations.
