Melania Trump can’t escape leaked audio despite jaw-dropping Christmas decorations
First Lady Melania Trump has unveiled an extensive Christmas display at the White House for 2025. The decorations, following the theme “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” are notably lavish.
The display includes 51 Christmas trees, 75 wreaths, and over 213 meters of garland. It also features more than 2,000 light strands, 7,620 meters of ribbon, and 10,000 butterflies.
Many observers on social media praised the elaborate spectacle. One user called it “incredible,” while another described it as the “ultimate holiday flex.”
This grand display has, however, revived memory of a leaked 2018 audio recording. In it, Melania expressed frustration over criticism of her holiday preparations during a family separation policy controversy.
She was heard saying, “who gives a f**k about the Christmas stuff and decorations?” She argued she was working hard on the project while also addressing concerns about separated families.
Melania’s team later condemned the secret recording and the release of the audio. They called it a “clear attempt at relevance” by the former friend who released it.
The remark continues to amuse some commentators online. Following the new decorations, several users recalled her past exasperated quote about the holiday season.
