JD Vance details ‘what it’s really like’ as Trump’s vice president with awkward ‘pe.nis story’
Vice President JD Vance recently shared a memorable behind-the-scenes story from the Trump White House. He recounted the anecdote on the Benny Show podcast, hosted by journalist Benny Johnson.
Vance described being in the Oval Office with President Trump and Senator Marco Rubio for an important meeting. During the discussion, Trump abruptly halted the conversation to address a different subject.
The president pointed out the footwear of Vance and Rubio, declaring they had “s****y shoes.” He then produced a shoe catalogue, explaining he would gift each of them four pairs.
Trump proceeded to ask for everyone’s shoe size to place the order. Rubio reported a size 11.5, while Vance wears a size 13.
A third, unnamed politician in the room was also asked and stated his shoe size was seven. Trump then leaned back in his chair and made a suggestive remark.
The president stated, “You know you can tell a lot about a man by his shoe size.” The clear implication was a crude joke about the other man’s penis size.
Vance told the podcast audience this was a moment he would “never, ever forget,” offering a glimpse into the informal and often unpredictable nature of Trump’s leadership style.
