JD Vance breaks silence after photo appeared to show him yelling at wife over dinner
Vice President JD Vance has sarcastically responded to rumors of a public argument with his wife, Usha. A viral, unverified photo appeared to show him yelling while Usha sat with her head in her hands at a restaurant.
Online critics suggested the image hinted at marital problems. Others mocked Vance’s casual white T-shirt, questioning his attire for a dinner outing.
Vance addressed the speculation directly on social media. He wrote, “I always wear an undershirt when I go out in public to have a fight loudly with my wife,” dismissing the rumor with humor.
Some observers had also suspected the controversial photograph might have been generated by artificial intelligence.
This incident follows months of public speculation about the couple’s relationship. Rumors increased after Vance shared a prolonged embrace with Erika Kirk, the widow of Turning Point USA’s founder, in October.
Further fuel was added when Usha Vance was seen at public events without her wedding ring. Her spokesperson explained she sometimes forgets her rings while managing household and parenting duties.
Vance has shrugged off the gossip, telling NBC News that he and Usha “get a kick out of it.” He asserted their marriage is strong and that Usha is adapting well to her public role.
