Trump unleashes on reporter after she calls him out on bold lie about military strikes

President Trump angrily confronted an ABC News reporter for questioning him about a past promise. The reporter, Rachel Scott, asked Trump about releasing a video of a military strike he had previously agreed to make public.

During a December 3 briefing, Trump had told an ABC reporter he would have “no problem” releasing the video of a strike off Venezuela. However, when Scott followed up days later, he falsely denied ever making that statement.

Trump insisted, “I didn’t say that,” and called it “ABC fake news,” despite a transcript proving otherwise. He then deferred the decision to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

He launched into a defense of the strikes, claiming without evidence they stopped “94 percent” of sea-borne drugs. He asserted each destroyed boat saves “25,000 American lives.”

As Scott persisted, Trump personally attacked her. He stated, “You are the most obnoxious reporter… a terrible reporter.”

This is not Trump’s first outburst at a White House correspondent. Less than a month prior, he insulted another reporter asking about Jeffrey Epstein.

Public reaction was mixed. Some viewers saw the attack as a sign the reporter was doing her job. Others sarcastically noted Trump’s own conduct, calling him an “obnoxious” and “terrible” president.
