The real reason we haven’t seen Lacy Chabert since her iconic role in ‘Mean Girls’
Lacy Chabert’s Post-Mean Girls Life
Lacy Chabert’s popularity soared with her role as Gretchen Wieners in the 2004 film “Mean Girls,” famous for her catchphrase “that’s so fetch.” Despite her early success, Chabert’s career transitioned from the big screen to the Hallmark Channel, where she now thrives.
Chabert began acting at 10 and starred as Claudia Salinger on “Party of Five” from 1994 to 2000. Reflecting on her experience, she said, “Sometimes my character would go through things in life on the show that I had yet to actually go through in life.” The end of the series left her “heartbroken,” but she remains “very, very, very close” with her castmates.
In 2004, Chabert’s role in “Mean Girls” solidified her fame. She reunited with the cast 20 years later for a Walmart commercial, expressing, “It was like stepping back in time, like no time had passed.”
Chabert married businessman David Nehdar in 2013 and welcomed daughter Julia Mimi Bella in 2016. She values privacy, saying, “We try to keep it as personal and private as possible.” Balancing her career with motherhood, she states, “My daughter is the light of my life,” and emphasizes setting a positive example for her.
