Famous actor died of heat stroke after falling asleep in his car in Arizona
Benji Gregory, best known for his role as Brian Tanner on the hit TV show “Alf,” was found dead in his car at 46. His body was discovered at a Chase Bank in Peoria, Arizona. His sister Rebecca informed TMZ about the tragic incident, expressing the family’s grief and gratitude for the kind words and thoughts. The exact cause of death is unproven, but it’s suspected he died of heat stroke while depositing a check. His service dog, Hans, also died in the car.
Born on May 26, 1978, in a Los Angeles suburb, Gregory began his TV career in the 1980s with roles in “The A-Team,” “T.J. Hooker,” “Punky Brewster,” and “The Twilight Zone.” He gained fame from 1986 to 1990 with his lead role in “Alf.” Gregory loved dogs, as reflected in his Instagram profile, and frequently posted about his service dog, Hans. Rebecca requested donations in Benji’s memory be made to The Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA.
Gregory joined the US Navy in 2003 but received an honorable medical discharge two years later. His legacy endures through his memorable role on “Alf.”
