Candace Cameron Bure Announces That She’s Leaving the Hallmark Channel After 14 Years.
Candace Cameron Bure, known for her role in “Full House” and numerous Hallmark Channel movies, is bidding farewell to the network after 14 years. The decision marks the end of her appearances in Hallmark Christmas movies and the “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.” At 46, Cameron Bure is not retiring but redirecting her focus to Great American Channels (GAC), formerly known as Great American Country.
Cameron Bure will transition to GAC, where she will create and star in content for GAC Family and GAC Living. This includes developing seasonal content, possibly involving more Christmas movies. In her statement, Cameron Bure expressed excitement about working with GAC, stating, “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family.”
The move follows the trend of other Hallmark Channel actresses joining GAC. Cameron Bure’s familiarity with the network, which currently airs “Full House” and “Fuller House,” aligns with her decision. The actress aims to contribute to GAC’s annual Great American Christmas franchise, emphasizing the creation of heartwarming family and faith-filled programming.
