Our thoughts and prayers go out to Blake Shelton and his family for their tragic loss
Blake Shelton paid tribute to his friend Joe Bonsall, who passed away after playing in The Oak Ridge Boys from 1973 to 2024. Blake shared a picture of them on Instagram, expressing sadness over Joe’s death from ALS. “I’ve NEVER seen Joe when he wasn’t smiling and completely full of life,” Blake wrote. “His family and his @theoakridgeboys brothers are in my thoughts and prayers.”
Joe is survived by his wife Mary Ann, two daughters, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He authored 11 books, including the upcoming memoir I See Myself. The Oak Ridge Boys, inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015, continue their farewell tour until December 8.
