The person Donald Trump loved the most passed away today
Lou Dobbs, the prominent newscaster known for his strong opinions, passed away at the age of 78. Former President Donald Trump expressed his sorrow, calling Dobbs an “incredible talent” and a “truly amazing reporter, journalist, and artist.”
Dobbs began his career at KBLU in Arizona and later joined NBC’s King-TV in Seattle. He was one of CNN’s first reporters in 1980, becoming its chief economics correspondent and host of the Moneyline business news show.
At CNN, Dobbs was controversial for promoting the false idea that Barack Obama was not born in the United States. He left CNN in 2009 over disagreements about his coverage of illegal immigrants. Dobbs then hosted Lou Dobbs Tonight on Fox Business until 2021.
Fox News Media expressed their condolences, acknowledging Dobbs’ contributions to cable news. Dobbs is survived by his wife, Debi, and six children.
