Dad and twin sons cut enough firewood to fill 80 trucks – donate it all to those who need it most
“Dad & Twins Donate 80 Trucks of Firewood to Needy”
Shane McDaniel and his twin sons, Henry and Harrison, embarked on a heartwarming journey. Inspired by Shane’s childhood memories of harvesting firewood with his father, they decided to tackle storm debris in their Lake Stevens, Washington community. Shane reminisces, “I saw the need… So many people were stopping and asking to buy it and we just started giving it away.”
Their project, from March to October 2018, yielded enough firewood to fill 80 trucks. Shane’s Facebook plea for collection drew attention, with many volunteering to distribute to those unable to pick it up. Shane expresses, “It’s a pretty wonderful thing to see… When you do good things for people, they don’t forget. I love helping people.”
Their altruism not only cleared debris but also fostered a sense of pride and sharing within the community. Shane, Henry, and Harrison’s selfless act shines as a beacon of compassion. If you’re touched by their story, spread the word and share their generosity.
