A Kind Story That Prove a Little Sympathy Goes a Long Way
One day, while working at a fast food restaurant, a lady left her Louis Vuitton bag on a table. I noticed she had already left, so after waiting 20 minutes, I decided to put it in the lost and found. I never looked inside.
A month later, my manager asked, “Hey, it’s been a month… do you want that bag?” I said yes and went to retrieve it. When I opened the bag, I found nothing but a piece of paper inside. The paper was a receipt for the bag with a message that read, “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.”
I was shocked—$1700 for that bag! It turns out, the lady had planned this all along. I packed my belongings in it and took it home, saying nothing more about it. That purse helped me look polished for job interviews, and I still have it today. It reminds me of those humble times when I had little and motivates me to give back to others.
