Miranda, a hardworking immigrant, is struggling after a public breakup with her ex, Colin. Her job at a restaurant is at risk due to her personal turmoil. When Colin and his new girlfriend, Leslie, come to the restaurant, Miranda is forced to serve them despite her discomfort. “What happens in your life is your thing, but it’s a problem for me if it messes with your work,” her boss, Michael, warns her.
