Beloved singer passed away at her Nashville home
Mandisa, the Christian singer known for her time on American Idol, passed away Thursday at her home in Nashville. She was 47. In her 2022 memoir Out of the Dark: My Journey Through the Shadows to Find God’s Joy, Mandisa shared her struggles with depression and anxiety, particularly after losing a close friend to cancer. She described this period as her “deep dark” phase, where she turned to food for comfort.
